The Canada Workers Benefit (CWB) is a refundable tax credit that supplements the income of low-income working Canadians. You may qualify if you are at least 19 years old, earned working income during the year, are a Canadian resident, and your income is below the threshold. The CWB has two parts: a basic amount for all eligible workers and a disability supplement for eligible workers with disabilities who also qualify for the Disability Tax Credit. CRA offers CWB advance payments so eligible workers can receive part of their credit throughout the year. CRA does not automatically deliver the CWB without a filed tax return. File on time to receive the benefit you may be entitled to.
